Nanban Groups
Promoting Gender Sensitivity and Positive Change through young boys

cwdr nanban project.png

The ‘Nanban’ initiative provides a supportive space for boys to learn about gender dynamics, challenge stereotypes, and embrace positive masculinity. Through these groups, boys explore topics related to gender, relationships, and social responsibility, fostering a more equitable mindset.

Our gender-sensitive training raises awareness of gender inequality and the harmful effects of toxic masculinity. Interactive sessions, discussions, and activities help boys understand the importance of empathy, consent, and respect. By addressing these early, we aim to cultivate boys who support gender equality in all aspects of life.

Additionally, our school programs offer boys age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education. Topics such as puberty, consent, and healthy relationships are covered, creating a foundation for respectful and informed interactions between genders.

Through Nanban, we’re nurturing future leaders who advocate for gender equality, promoting respect, responsibility, and inclusion in their schools and communities. This initiative is vital to our mission of creating a society where both men and women can thrive equally.
