Renuka As a survivor involved in Cancer Awareness programs
The Centre for Women’s Development and Research (CWDR) was founded by Renuka, a passionate advocate for women’s rights. Growing up in Tamil Nadu, Renuka saw the challenges women faced in gaining education, independence, and social justice. This motivated her to create CWDR with the goal of empowering women and girls, especially from marginalized communities. She was the first woman from her village to attend college, she has completed her M.A economics and M.Phil. Micro Level Planning.
Through CWDR, Renuka has led initiatives in Domestic workers Rights, Single Women's Empowerment and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights of adolescent girls. Her work has helped countless women gain the skills and confidence to break free from poverty and oppression. Under her leadership, CWDR continues to be a strong voice for women’s rights and empowerment in Tamil Nadu.
